The Cable Guy is Coming

I have often driven past service vans or cars in neighborhoods and really not given it much thought. But there are times that the Van or car looks a bit suspiscious because of the circumstances.

Now I'll admit I'm a little nosy......but don't you wonder sometimes when you see a...oh I don't know, maybe a van that says Sweet Scent Carpet Cleaning, and it is sitting under the overpass of the freeway, in a residential neighborhood and there is no one around or anywhere near the van. Where is this guy? Hmm? Do you think he is visiting someone? What about those Traffic Control cars that drive around giving tickets. I saw one of those cars once, two days in a row, around the same time of day, under the above mentioned overpass. I didn't see anyone around giving any tickets. There was also a Comcast Cable Van parked outside an Apartment building across from my Building. No big deal. You see those vans all the time. I returned later that afternoon about 3 hours later, and it was parked in the same spot. No one was around. ok. Maybe it was a long job. Maybe someone's cables got discombobulated? Yeah. right.

Well, yes, that may be possible. But the same Van was parked there all night! I swear. The next morning it was gone. And I never saw it again. What about the LAPD car that was parked last week in front of a house. It was still there when I got back an hour and 1/2 later. There was no sign of any other patrol car or any officers around. Sure did take a long time for questioning. Maybe he was 'questioning' the Blonde that lived in that house.

Well, I guess I am nosy. But I see this frequently. If you think I am reading too much into all of this....fine. But next time you pass a service Van or Car that has been sitting a little too long, or is parked under an overpass several yards from the nearest house, maybe you too will start to wonder............Hey, maybe you are one of those people? But don't worry. I won't breathe a word.
