O.K. Boys and Girls, it's time for serious Computer Education!

Who started Apple Computer? What does the name Bill Gates mean to you? If you are reading this and do not know the answers to these questions, then odds are a million to one that you are not even on a Computer right now.

I received two emails today. One from a friend of mine, about the 'dangerous' laws that are going to be passed in Congress, dealing with the literal 'selling out' of the Internet. I then 'chained' that email out to several people, and received a response from my cousin. He replied with a simple "Not True", and sent me a link to a Snopes.com. There I found an article written by whoever runs this Snopes Blog, refuting all this paranoia that we will have to pay for our once free Internet privileges.

I think we are destined to have a change in the freedom of the Internet, and it is really only a matter of time until it happens. Nothing ever stays free forever except maybe the sunshine and Stargazing. 'They' may even start to charge for 'Nature' hikes and visiting Parks. George Orwell's future is not Science Fiction anymore. And as far as 'Free Lunches' are concerned, think about other things on the Internet that were once free. ( i.e.Napster)

We are a Capitalistic country, after all, and business will be business....and 'things' never quite stay the same. So beware, that in your lifetime, or maybe just a couple of years from now, you may be paying for something that you didn't pay for before.

Remember that there was a time when people laughed at the idea of paying for T.V. Extra points for your Computer 101 class. Can you name a Cable T.V. or Satillite T.V. Company?
