When do hit songs become elevator music?.........ever thought about it ? Well I did today, while I was holding forever for AT&T.

I was trying to be productive, and accomplish some necessary work at my desk. I hate wasting time. So I really do not pay much attention to the 'elevator' music that companies have running through the phone line. But something stopped me from what I was doing. Something familiar started to affect my consciousness.

It was a song from around 1991 sung by Chris Isaak. The song was "Wicked Game". I used to love that song. I still do. And I can still remember the Video I watched on MTV. I think turning classics like that into Elevator Music is almost sacrelgious. It is pretty scary actually.

Selling out copyrights to music to be put into a phone line for aggravated people to listen to is not going to calm anyone down.

I think this just reminds me that eventually even Rap music might ultimately sell out too..........................and the floating notes of Mantovani type music, coming through the phone line, will be using music about what is going on in the 'hood'...............very depressing.
