Let Em' Eat Cake

MageeDinerIMG_0428.JPG

I was listening to the News last night, and caught some FDA Official speaking about the changing of the contents of the 'official' Food Pyramid that was in fact, he said, timely. Contrary to the mainstream of current thought who point out that the 'better' Food Pyramid was known for the last 30 years.

So with grains and cereals at the top of the Pryramid, it was known in the past that Wonder Bread or any white bread or any Cereal, no matter how much sugar was in it would be classified as being part of the Grain-Cereal Group. Now they are saying , Whole Grains and Whole Wheat Breads and Cereals should make up that top part of the Food Pyramid.

It's funny actually. Our nation has the most overweight people of anywhere on the Planet. White Bread has no nutritional value. (They have to add vitamins to make it 'Whole'). It will just make you 'whole' or I should say a 'whole' lot fatter. All these new low-Carb meals that have been added to many Restaurant Menus will not turn the tide of the 'Fat ' problem either.

People are still eating tons of sugar and do not realize it. I see that most people are buying the low-fat or non-fat yogurts, or non-fat food items. If you look at the content disclosures on the packages, you will find that one small 6 ounce yogurt cup has up to 37 grams of sugar. Many wonder why they can't lose weight. It's the sugar , Sweetie! Sugar turns to fat! If you add 'calorie-no value' foods like White Bread and junk food like Pringles(can't understand why they don't eat 'real' potato chips--they taste so much better--you'll get fat on either type anyway!) you will only get fatter! Sugar and White bread, and even Pringles are all 'processed' foods, and it is they way they break down in your system, that contributes to turning into fat on your dear little body.

The bottom line is if people really did stick to the (New) Food Pyramid, it is not only healthier, but probably leaner as well. The rest of the Food Pyramid we all know about....it's the fruits and vegetables and dairy.

Now that I have made myself hungry, I think I'll go down to the Kitchen for a midnight snack.....hmmm, maybe some chocolate.........

Christina Aguilera?

at theBankIMG_0110.JPG

It's already the 5th of January, and as I haven't said it before, a very Happy New Year to all of you out in the Blogosphere and beyond, in cyberspace. Especially to those of you who have frequented my Blog and dropped by to leave comments.

Of course I know Christina Aguilera. I also know Britney Spears, J-Lo and Condoleeza Rice(whoops, wrong category). Anyway the former Pop Icons I have mentioned are just that. All marketing and 'in your face' Media hype. I see nothing especially outstanding for any of them. There are dozens of them 'next door' and in the streets. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I just fell on a Website for Men that displays stories and photos of who they think is really 'outrageously' outstanding. One of these women is Monica Bellucci. If her name doesn't ring a bell, I know that she was in Matrix Reloaded. She was also in Malena , which I have already seen. If you go here you will see her at this website-- askmen.com

I have yet to fall on a Women's website that has 'Outrageous' men. If you know of any such website, let me know. Since Playboy does much better than all those defunct Mags for women, I assume, that's why something like 'The top 100 Men' doesn't exist on the Web either.

Well, all of the interesting, stimulating , intellectually challenging issues that were on my mind the last couple of days, intended for Blog use, are done gone out of my head. So for those of you who did a search for Christina Aguilera..........well sorry, I couldn't come up with anything else for my Blog, except what I found on the Web tonight. At least you discovered there are far more interesting women than Christina out there, like Monica Bellucci and Charlize Theron.(She's #1)

Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera's dress code can be seen in the streets of Southern California, as you can see in the photo. I guess they think it's cool.....right down to the label showing....California women have such class(not)!Sorry just couldn't help rubbing that in. After my last entry about the the dudes in their 'cool' attire, I just had to put in some feedback for the way women dress here as well.

By the way it was 51 degrees here this evening, and still no one wears coats. Just denim jackets(or no jackets!) and the 'required' scarf or muffler around the neck. I don't care if they THINK that's in. I am not going to freeze my butt off, so I wore my 'Montgomery', hooded coat with the toggle buttons. It happens to be in Victoria's Secret and Nordstrom. I'll bet they wear that in New York. In So Cal, though, women dress in 'Sleaze Wear'. I'll bet if it snowed in the city here, there would be cries of a wasted day that they couldn't wear their bikinis!!

Damn La La Land.
