I don't think I would want to call this person even If I wanted to lose weight. If this person cannot even spell 'people', how smart is he/she? (I keep wanting to say 'he', only.........I must be sexist).
Do I trust this person with my money, even if this individual swears I can lose weight? It really makes you stop and think. In the Business world, we do not trust people to lead us down the path of skinny forever if they can't spell. We don't give our money to invest with a stockbroker, standing on a street corner in ragged jeans or oversized Basketball shorts. Remember the Brooks Brothers Look? Why are Stockbrokers always dressed in suits?
The bottom line..........we never consciously think about who wears what, when we are dealing with serious business transactions, and we do not stand in line in the market cashier line, checking out the labels to see if everything is spelled correctly.
Seeing that sign on the corner made me realize that if the person who posted that sign were offering free money, I would probably pass............someone who can't even spell 'people' will probably not even know how to count money.
